Not sure if you need a website?
Or not
sure what to put on it? Here are some handy tips for your
school web site.
- Put
your school prospectus online so people can view it at
any time.
- Put
photos of your school and directions so people can find
you.
- Photos
of all your teaching staff, governors and support staff,
helping people see who you are.
- Homework
schedules so pupils and parents can view them at any time.
- Put
sports results on the website.
- Resources
for learning so pupils and other schools can view and share.
- Put
your term dates on the website.
- A
history of your school, with perhaps, details of famous
people who
used to attend.
- Why not list all your awards and certificates you have
achieved?
- Photo
albums of school trips.
- Examples
of children's work - e.g. paintings or essays.
- Links
to other useful websites for revision or resources.
- Contact
form - so parents can request information, or contact
the school.
- Guide
for new pupils. Familiarise your new in-take with
maps
of the school, handy tips and guides etc.
- Place
your school newsletters on the site so they can be
viewed/downloaded.

of some more!
