Answer
·  07 January 2008 - K3 non-core import does not include PE results

A change was made to the format of the K3 non-core file from the DCSF which resulted in all the result fields being incorrectly mapped.

This has been corrected in Patch 3.8.5 which is inthe Patches section of the Downloads page

·  04 July 2008 - School Census does not import

·  22 May 2008 - K1 ARA Pupil report not printing a single pupil per page

The 2008 K1 ARA Pupil report was modified to cater for p-scales, unfortunately this introduced a bug whereby it did not start a new page for each pupil.

This has been corrected in patch 3.8.4 which is in the Patches section of the Downloads page.

·  13 August 2004 - K1 DfES Return won't import into Keypas

Some Capita software is known to produce DfES returns with a space in the file name (before the final 3 incremental numbers highlighted below)

999LLLL_KS1_999DFES_ 001.xml

This space stops the file from being imported. Simply remove the space and the file should import correctly.

·  26 Jan 2004 - Duplicate error when opening Keypas

If you have upgraded a relatively old version of KeypasBE (pre-2003) using a recent version of Keypas you may receive the following message:-

"The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or redefine the index to permint duplicate entries and try again."

To fix this problem click OK to procede into Keypas. Once Keypas has loaded click on Tools, Refresh Report List.

PLEASE NOTE: This process deletes the existing records in the Reporting table (accessible via the maintenance section) and then repopulates it using information in each report in the Reports folder. If you have changed the Name, Title or Description of any of the reports this process will overwrite those changes. If you wish to save any changes made, please make a note of them before running the refresh and then reapply the changes afterwards.

·  18 Sept 2003 - Possible installation problem if on Windows 2000

If you are having problems installing KEYPAS on Windows 2000, you may get a message similar to the one below: "Windows installer service cannot update the system file..." This is generated because Windows installer cannot update the fonts. This is probably due to the fact that you have not updated to Service Pack 1 from the Microsoft website. It would therefore be worthwhile making sure that you have all the service packs that are available, and then trying to install Keypas again.

·  03 Sept 03 - When selecting the Keypasbe.mdb that you want to connect to - you receive an error message that says the database has an incorrect version number

This message will appear when you (or someone sharing your database) has applied a patch. The reason being that the new version of keypas needs to upgrade the database.

Simply select the location of your KeypasBE database, click Open and then OK.

You will then be informed that the database is the wrong version and that Keypas will upgrade the database. Click OK. Keypas will upgrade the database and you should be able use Keypas as normal. Please note: If you are sharing your database you will need to apply the patch on each client machine.
