05/02/2010: The SEF that's not a SEF
In January 2010, the self-evaluation form (SEF) was updated and renamed Sure Start Children's Centres: Performance, achievement and outcomes review. This new form replaces the SEF and is part of the recommended performance management guidance of Sure Start Children's Centres.
The Performance, achievement and outcomes review refines the format and evaluation offering a greater focus on outcomes assessment and alignment around outcomes linked with key national indicators and local priorities.
Angel Solutions will be updating Perspective to support the new changes by reviewing the Bite Size Questions with our Local Authority working group.

24/09/2009: Management Briefings on Self Evalaution and Planning Software
Management Briefings on Software Supported Evaluation and Planning (SSEP) will be taking place at the times and locations below.
Briefings are 90 minutes long. They provide an insight into the contribution that SSEP makes to the usefulness of School and Departmental Self Evaluation by integrating these with each other; with the whole School’s Key Priorities; with Department’s Targets, and with Individual’s Action Plans, in every school it is adopted by.

02/04/2009: Ofsted to begin inspections of Children's Centres
Ofsted to begin full programme of inspections of Children's Centres from April 2010.
A new bill passing through Parliament will give Ofsted the legal duty to inspect and report on the effectiveness of children's centres. As you would expect, Perspective for Children's Centres will support centres through this transition.
