New Ofsted Self Evaluation Framework
Answers for Perspective users.

On July 6th Ofsted froze every school's SEF. From that date schools cannot edit their existing SEF using the Ofsted forms website. However in the event of an inspection schools can provide a copy of their existing SEF.
Angel Solutions are therefore very pleased to announce that Perspective users will be able to use Perspective not only to reproduce, but also to update, their existing SEF until the end of 2009, as well as beginning to self evaluate in the new framework using Perspective Version 3 in August.
It is clear from Ofsted's policy and advice that they expect Heads will prioritise the rewriting of their SEF according to their school's circumstances, and will start with a 'clean sheet'. There are substantial differences in format and style between the existing and the new SEF.
For these reasons we do not propose to automatically migrate schools' answers to existing SEF or Bite Size questions. However, we have consulted with accredited Ofsted Inspectors and will offer schools a service which will intelligently migrate self evaluative answers, surveys, documents, etc., into appropriate places in the new framework.
Perspective
Our consultants and software development team have been very busy writing new content and creating a completely new version of Perspective - Version 3.
Version 3 will be available for the use of Primary and Secondary Schools from August 28th, Specials Schools and Nurseries on September 11th. More information about Version 3 can be found by clicking here.
We plan to provide a facility for schools to upload directly to the Ofsted online site from Perspective Version 3.
