We have worked with MHE to produce a number of interactive CD-ROMs that explore the connection between thinking, learning and assessment in Maths, English & Science. There are three book & CD packages available for each respective subject. The CD’s contain interactive versions of all the activities that can be found in the book.

Concept Cartoons

We have worked with MHE for a number of years producing various editions of Concept Cartoons CD-ROMs. These include CD’s that target both Science & Maths Education as well as a translation into Welsh.
Concept Cartoons put forward a range of viewpoints about the science or maths involved in everyday situations. They are designed to intrigue and provoke discussion. Over the years we have worked on the following CD-ROMs:
Concept Cartoons in Science Education, Concept Cartoons in Mathematics, Concept Cartoons in Science Education (Welsh) and Concept Cartoons in Science Education Revised Edition.

Maths on Fire

We have worked with MHE to produce an interactive CD-ROM that contains 66 engaging matchstick puzzles & mathematical questions. The CD is aimed at 8-14 year olds, comes with on-screen answers, extra questions, the facility to create your own puzzles and a lead in to simple algebra.

Science Questions

We have worked with MHE to produce an interactive CD-ROM that contains 16 Concept Cartoon style stories, complete with voice over, from the following titles: The Snowman’s Coat, Upside Down Seeds, Bungee Jumpers and The Seesaw. The CD is aimed at 5-8 year olds.

Spellbound Science

We have worked with MHE to produce two Spellbound Science CD-ROMs that are sold along with a corresponding book. The stories are designed to create problems that children can solve. These innovative, original stories provide starting points for scientific enquiry and help children to develop scientific understanding in the later years of primary school. The interactive CD-ROM contains animated versions of the stories and has audio narration & sound effects as well as activities at the end of each story.
