Integrated within the NCER’s NEXUS data portal, Pendulum also benefits from the wealth of information that is fed into NEXUS by other users within the LA.
School Improvement Teams have struggled for years to implement efficient, centralised processes that manage their visits to schools and the reports that are produced. Often visits are arranged over the phone and written up and distributed using Microsoft Word and email. This method cannot be audited, the versions cannot be controlled and it is not good practice in terms of security.
Pendulum is deployed within the Nexus portal which allows stakeholders visiting schools to have access to data to support the visit, such as attainment data, maps, statistics, trends etc. As this data is already held in the Nexus system, the work required by data teams to produce reports for advisers and managers prior to a visit is dramatically reduced. Furthermore, LA personnel are able to access real time reports and data at any time without adding to the data team workload.
Configurable exports can be downloaded by managers in need of reports; filters can be applied such as term, school and so on, which means that data needed can be accessed quickly and easily by anyone with the correct permissions.
