Perspective Planning

How does Perspective help you create effective plans?

Key priorities can be created and tracked in Perspective meaning senior leaders and middle leaders can view progress of plans and evaluate when necessary. Leaders can also ensure priorities are being tackled by disseminating targets across multiple members of staff or across whole teams.

Perspective also provides leaders with a consistent scaffold to support them through the process of linking planning to self evaluation and target setting by providing challenging questions, expert guidance, evidence sources and benchmarking statements, all of which are critical in making sure that the linkage is demonstrable when dealing with an inspection.

Perspective facilitates the monitoring of teams and whole establishments, ensuring consistency throughout, so that leaders can identify area for improvement, provide support, or recognise consistent themes or needs across multiple teams.

‘Using Perspective we have created a development plan (with clear deadlines and accountabilities) which addresses all of the key Ofsted focus areas. This plan has been cascaded down to our departments strengthening the links between departmental and whole school improvement. Our driver as an outstanding school (and now an Academy) is to make sure that we continue to improve. As the Headteacher, Perspective enables me toquickly monitor progress and view any evidence that departments generate. This has proven to be a powerful and time-saving feature and as an Academy, we will use it to monitor the delivery of our Funding Agreement with the DfE.’

Perspective provides you with a great deal of tools and outputs to help with planning. You can export action plans for individuals, development plans for any team or for the whole establishment, all in a variety of different styles, PDF, Word, Excel, etc. You can get Perspective to replicate the style of plan you currently use, as well as adding your own logos, introductions or cover sheets as appropriate. You can even change all of the terminology in the system to fit with the language you currently use – you say targets, I say goals, you say improvement plan, I say business plan, and so on.

The planning system allows you to create very simple or very detailed plans. You can build in costs and staff time, CPD needs, monitoring statements, impact statements, as well as linking evidence or directly to a self review question to expose the link between the two processes, a key part of any Ofsted inspection.

You can quickly monitor all of this information with our helicopter view of everything going on, which includes an overarching monitoring system as well as Gantt charts, dashboards, to-do lists and the ability to add commentary and notes to a target to provide support. The planning system is entirely comprehensive!

Is effective Planning one of your priorities?

If it is, then talk to us. We think that Perspective has a role to play in any establishment achieving or maintaining its outstanding status, as well as supporting its internal processes, whether it be planning or any other aspect of improvement. Therefore we would like to talk to you about how we could tailor Perspective to your specific needs.

Our team of educationalists want to discuss your particular requirements, explain more about our software, share our experience of working with senior leaders up and down the country, and then demonstrate how we work in partnership with you to create an implementation plan that drives out the goals you want to achieve.
