Balance: New Features
Our development team are always working hard to improve the usability of Balance, our formative assessment tool, and we are pleased to bring you two brand new, exciting features that will save teachers’ time and help them plan learning events more efficiently.
Duplicate your learning events
A Duplicate button has been added, which will allow teachers to make a copy of any learning event they have previously created at the click of a button.
Teachers can use Balance to efficiently plan their lessons by setting up learning events to consolidate understanding and address misconceptions where necessary. The duplicate button will save even more time for teachers and enable them to easily create personalised learning events.
Email reminders for pre-planned learning
A large number of teachers are now using Balance to plan their lessons in advance by setting up learning events for future dates. To encourage and assist with this forward planning, teachers will now receive an email reminder in the morning to highlight any learning events they have planned for that day.
This email will only go out to teachers who have chosen to plan ahead using Balance, reminding them to log in and record the depth of understanding for the children that have taken part in those pre-planned learning events.

By searching the curriculum for key words and using advanced filters, teachers will be able to truly unleash Balance’s potential as a planning tool. The new curriculum search tool will empower teachers to become forward-thinking and dynamic practitioners as they efficiently forward-plan their lessons and set up learning events in advance.
