Job Purpose
As Communications Officer, you will take ownership of delivering all digital content, ensuring product updates and resources reach the right audiences clearly and efficiently. Central to how the organisation communicates, you will ensure every message is on-brand, clear, and delivered effectively, while building strong relationships with colleagues and key external stakeholders to maintain high-quality, impactful communications across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
Digital & Content Facilitation
- Content Curation & Distribution: Act as the central point for communication distribution. Facilitate the creation of public-facing content for our Ed-Tech products and digital resources by taking approved images from the Design team and copy from Product Leads.
- Platform Management: Oversee and manage the content updates for key digital channels, ensuring Mailchimp, LinkedIn, and social media platforms (including X) are consistently updated.
- Website Maintenance: Ensure that existing product and promotional content across the company website, including the product login pages, is updated to reflect the latest changes, promotions, and relevant seasonal campaigns.
Product & Campaign Management
- Product Communication: Handle the drafting and management of all product release emails and major company newsletters.
- Sales Enablement: Ensure promotional campaigns requested by the Sales and Account Management teams are efficiently prepared, tested, and deployed to their target audiences.
- Analytics and Strategy: Review and analyse campaign performance metrics (analytics) and provide tactical advice to stakeholders, adjusting distribution channels and messaging as required.
Corporate & External Relations
- Internal & External Alignment: Oversee all external communications to build brand reputation and market positioning, ensuring consistency with internal messaging.
- Public Relations & Media: Support media relations activities, including managing media enquiries, preparing company statements, and assisting with the drafting of press releases.
- Crisis Communications: Support the development and execution of the crisis communication plan to help manage and mitigate reputational risks when unexpected events arise.
- Recruitment Support: Collaborate with HR to support the company’s recruitment efforts by proactively promoting job advertisements and positive employer brand content on social media.
