Angel New in Broadcast: user role intelligence
Our latest Broadcast update introduces a new User Roles Export, making it easier to review the roles being used across your schools and who is currently assigned to them.
What’s new in Broadcast
- Export Perspective users and their roles across all of your schools directly from Broadcast Admin
- See the roles currently being used by Broadcast, including roles used for File Requests and sending Confidential Files
- Identify roles where nobody is currently assigned, helping you spot gaps and check the right people are in place
- See each user’s last login date, helping you identify accounts that may no longer be active or in regular use
- Make any changes you need ahead of September, particularly where staff or responsibilities have changed

Broadcast Plus Users make more use of File Requests
The 2026/27 Academic Year Timeline is a useful checklist for planning key activities throughout the year.
It can also be a good prompt to think beyond traditional data collections.
File Requests can be used whenever you need schools to securely provide information or supporting evidence, whether that’s finance or early years returns, HNF evidence, joiner and leaver information, attendance or SEND information, safeguarding returns, governor information or supporting documentation for a particular piece of work.
Using File Requests in this way can help reduce ad-hoc email requests, give schools a clear and consistent way to respond, and keep submitted information together within Broadcast.
Could File Requests have a wider role across your teams?
For Broadcast Plus users, they can be used for more than just formal data collections, helping you gather information and evidence throughout the year. We can arrange training or a refresher session to help you identify where they could be useful across your teams.
Supporting change as well as day-to-day activity
Broadcast can also provide a useful foundation when teams, responsibilities or organisational structures are changing.
Keeping LA users, school contacts, roles and groups up to date, alongside having consistent ways to send, request and receive information, can make it easier to maintain continuity and keep everyone clear on who is responsible for what, including during periods of change such as Local Government Reorganisation.
