New in Broadcast: More improvements to file collections

As part of our ongoing roadmap to improve how Local Authorities collect files from schools, we’re introducing the first phase of enhancements designed to make it easier for schools to send their files back to the right place.

We know that some schools are still using the standalone file option instead of responding directly to a file request, which can make things messy for both you and them. This update begins to tackle that problem head-on.

Here’s what’s changed

For schools using Perspective Lite:

  • A new banner now appears in the Standalone Files tab if there are any open file requests.

  • The above banner links directly to the File Requests tab with all statuses pre-selected – so schools can get straight to what they need to send.
  • The same banner also appears in the Send Standalone File pop-up, to gently guide them back to the correct route.

It’s a small change with a big impact, helping everyone use the right channels and reducing admin time for Local Authorities.

And this is just Phase 1 of a series of improvements we’ve got planned to streamline file returns between schools and LAs.

Here is a sneak peek of phase 2 … watch this space!
